Gomes commemorates call-up for South Africa World Cup

Goalkeeper Gomes has been called up by coach Dunga among 23 other players to defend Brazil in South Africa World Cup.
Tottenhamâs goalkeeper has been having an outstanding performance in the English football club. He is in the line-up along with Brazilian national squadâs goalkeepers JĂșlio CĂ©sar and Doni.
âItâs always been a great honour to defend the Brazilian National Squad and Iâm very touched by this great opportunity. Being called up for the World Cup is an enormous achievement in a playerâs career and this has been my first oneâ, said Gomes, who has been called up 23 times. He was also champion in the Confederations Cup in 2005 and 2009.
The chosen players are supposed to show up on May 21st at Atlético-PR Training Centre in Curitiba, Brazil. South Africa World Cup is starting on June 11th. Brazil will first play against North Korea on June 15th in group G, in which Portugal and Ivory Coast are also included.
