Gomes’s Tottenham win and secure a slot in the Champions League

Today, 5th May, Goalkeeper Gomes celebrated Tottenham’s victory 1 nil in an English League postponed match for the 29th of the competition.
In the fight for one of the slots in the Champions League, Tottenham and Manchester City faced each other and Manchester’s City Stadium.
The Spurs’ winning goal was scored by Peter Crouch in the 37th minutes in the second half.
‘It was an exciting match for all of us. We managed to beat a great team at their own home. We stood the pressure in the first half, in which they attacked us hard. We played cleverly. I’m very happy because I got treatment on my left thigh for a minor injury in it. I didn’t want to be out of this match, rather I wanted help the team. We’ve been doing well and the slot came to award our work’, said Gomes. He went through medical examination before the match and was allowed to play.
After victory, Tottenham attained 70 points and they cannot be achieved by City. The Spurs stand in 4th place in the Champions League along with Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal.
In the last round the Spurs will play against Burnley, on Sunday 9th May, away from home.
