Gomes celebrates victory against Chelsea

Gomes’ Tottenham beat Chelsea 2-1 this Saturday,17th April, in the London’s derby match in the 35th round of the English Championship. With this result the Spurs moved up to 4th place and they will play in the Champions League qualifying matches.
While playing at home, Tottenham Defoe scored an opener with a penalty kick and Bale netted a goal just before halftime.
The competition leader pulled one back with Lampard in the second half and in the additional time.
‘We aimed at the game from the very beginning and then we scored an opener. We opened up good opportunities and we could have won the match with a few more goals. Both teams opened up opportunities so it was a disputed match. We will play in the Champions League qualifying matches and we must keep focused on the championship homestretch’, said the Brazilian goalkeeper.
After this victory, Gomes’ team now has 64 points. Chelsea still remains in the lead with 77, followed by Manchester United with 76.
In the next round Tottenham will face Manchester Saturday, 24th April.
Tottenham line-up will take a day off tomorrow 18th and on Monday 19th. They will get back to working the day after.
