Gomes’ Tottenham wins and climbs up the standings

Tottenham, of the goalkeeper Gomes, conquered another three points last Saturday (December 19th), by defeating Blackburn with a 2-0 victory, playing for the 18th round of the Premier League. With the result, the Spurs have climbed up to fourth, with 33 points.
“We knew it wasn’t going to be an easy game, so we were concentrated all along. We played away from home and we needed to add points to get closer to the leaders”, said the Tottenham’s goalkeeper.
In the standings, the Brazilian’s team is two points away from the third place Aston Villa. Manchester is second with 37, and Chelsea leads with 40.
In the next round, on December 26th, Tottenham will play again away from home. The game will be against Fullham, ninth place with 26 points
